THE PEOPLE
Karen Oskowicz, founder and owner of INDIsign Graphics, started her career
in the Training department at Bombardier Aerospace after graduating from
the Graphic Design Program at Dawson College in 1991, and quickly rose
to the rank of supervisor of the department by 1996. Responsible for a
team of 13 people, the team created and maintained all flight-training
manuals that Bombardier Aerospace Training Centre produced. In 2000, Karen
left Bombardier to pursue her own business venture, INDIsign Graphics,
with her partner Todd Friedman.
Todd Friedman attended CDI College in Vancouver Canada in 1995 and received
his degrees in website design and administration, and computer networking
and programming. After working with various design firms, he teamed up
with Karen Oskowicz in 2000 and started INDIsign Graphics.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to aggressively design and implement a customized web
solution for each client. We strive to provide top-flight service and
support from the first contact until completion of your project. No
matter how big or how small the assignment, we will work closely with
you to ensure you get the exact web solution you are looking for.
Our design philosophy straightforward: Keep it clean, keep it simple
and make it functional. A web site should clearly state the message
without overwhelming the visitor. Our designs are clean and fast-loading
presentations that eliminate needless content and useless "features."
Navigation is key to our design philosophy. A successful web site allows
the visitor to locate the information or products that they need in
as few clicks as possible.
PROCEDURE
1: INDIsign Graphics will collect all files and pertinent information
in which to proceed with the first draft of a page layout.
2: INDIsign Graphics will then design a page layout based upon the client's
wishes and ideas.
3: INDIsign Graphics will upload a first draft to the back end of our
website for the client to view.
4: INDIsign Graphics will then make modification to the page, base upon
the client's comments.
5: INDIsign Graphics will then re-submit the page for approval.
6: Once INDIsign Graphics receives email confirmation that the client
is happy with the design concept, we will then proceed to build the
rest of the site. From the time the client has signed off on the design
concept, any design changes will be applied to the pages that have already
been built at an hourly rate on top of the original quoted price. If
the client requests changes after the sign-off date, the process will
commence back at step 2 and continue forward until the client has once
again signed off on the design concept. Once the changes have been made
to however many pages have already been built up to this point, INDIsign
Graphics will notify the client immediately of the additional cost associated
with said changes.
Once the website is finished, and the client has approved the final
product, we will then wait until payment is received before uploading
the pages to the client's web server. If the client does not have a
web server package, and INDIsign Graphics is providing web space for
the website, INDIsign Graphics will wait until payment is received before
setting up the web server for the client. In some cases, INDIsign Graphics
reserves the right to require a deposit, or full payment up front before
work begins on a project. In either of these cases, INDIsign Graphics
will inform the client on the bottom of the first page of our proposal.
